Smith-Midland Promotes Matthew Smith to VP, Sales and Marketing

MIDLAND, Va. – Matthew I. Smith has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Smith-Midland Corporation. Matthew will be responsible for directing and overseeing all sales and marketing activities for the company.

Matthew has been with Smith-Midland Corporation for 19 years. He spent three years as the Sales Manager at Smith-Carolina Corporation in Reidsville, North Carolina and nine years as the Sales Manager of the Utility Products Division in Midland.

When asked about his new role with Smith-Midland, Smith responds, "I am excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Sales and Marketing team at Smith-Midland. We have an experienced group of individuals who all contribute significantly to the sales and marketing of the organization. We will continue to grow sales for the company by offering our customers the best quality product and the best service in the industry."

Matthew Smith Matthew is active in the local community serving as chairman of the Fauquier County Transportation Committee, Vice President of the Southern Fauquier Business Owners Association and is an active member at the Midland Church of the Brethren. He earned his degree in Business Administration from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia where he now serves as the National Chair of the Bridgewater Fund Committee. He resides in Midland with his son Nicholas.
