MIDLAND, Va. – George Sharikas has been promoted to the position of Sales Manager, Utility Products Division, Smith-Midland Corporation. George will be responsible for guiding the sales team toward new sales, providing superior customer service and increasing profits for Smith-Midland's sales of innovative, high quality precast concrete products.

George has been with Smith-Midland Corporation since 2004. Prior to his promotion, he was a sales representative for the company.

When asked about his new role with Smith-Midland, Sharikas responds, "My goal is to bring in profitable projects to the company while keeping my team motivated and excited about what they do. I'm fortunate to be working with an outstanding group of individuals who are all dedicated to the company."

George earned his degree in Marketing from the School of Management at George Mason University in Fairfax and recently completed courses in preparation for his Project Management Professional Examination. Upon passing the exam, he will receive certification in project management. He is active with Associated Builders and Contractors and serves on their committee that encourages young people interested in the industry. George currently resides in Warrenton.
